An afternoon with Bhante Thiep at Elsie Quirk Library in Englewood, Florida. Bhante Thiep is a Resident Monk at Sarasota Forest Monastery. He will discuss the Four Noble Truths as part of the introduction to Buddhism.

Siddhartha Gautama Shakyamuni (the self-enlightened one or Buddha) taught his followers: DUKKHA -suffering/stress; DUKKHA-SAMUDAYA – the source /cause of suffering; DUKKHA-NIRODHA – the cessation of suffering; DUKKHA-NIRODHA-GAMINIPATIPADA- the Path leading to the cessation of suffering or the “Eight-fold path”: Right View, Right Intention, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness, Right Concentration.
